About Crowded Table
OVERLAP Art Space created Crowded Table*, a juried exhibition with a focus on food and community. They were interested in artwork that considers and/or facilitates the cultivation, preparation, display and consumption of food, as well as the habits and traditions associated with nourishment and gathering. Specifically they were searching for artwork that is functional and can act as tools for gathering at a “crowded table”, work that is topical, and work that is both at the same time.
Their goals for the exhibit are:
1. to create a meaningful, inspiring exhibition for our audience members.
2. to provide a variety of artists with an opportunity to reflect, to share their work with an audience and to connect with each other, and
3. to gather our community together and to support each other.
In the spirit of giving back around the holidays, this is a fundraising show supporting both Overlap Art Space itself and The Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Ordering Details
Because every plate is handmade it can take 4-6 weeks for a plate to be shipped, but you’ll be supporting an LGBTQ/Disabled Artist way beyond this pride month.
You have options to select one, two, four, six or eight plates in the order. Ordering more than 1 plate gives a $5 discount per plate.
