Married couple Kristin Schiff (she/her) & Alex Taylor (they/them) started their studio to pursue their creative endeavors in 2021 as photographers.
In 2025, they expanded to Ceramics & Video Game Development.
Kristin Schiff
Biography
Kristin Schiff (she/her) has been pursuing photography since 2018 and has been active in ceramics since 2023.
She has a background in Psychology with a focus on Adoption Studies from her studies at University of Massachusetts: Amherst. From 2013 - 2025, she worked as an Industrial Psychologist with a focus on enhancing performance and addressing organizational challenges of Engineering Departments using Agile & Scrum principles. She left the tech world in October 2025 to pursue Art as a career.
Her photos have been featured in local group expositions at restaurants and community art centers in the New England Area.
As a disabled person and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, her work focuses on finding the beauty in the world around her and those that came before her. She finds inspiration for both photography and ceramics in travel and frequent adventures along the local rail trails and hikes in New England.
Artist Statement
As a person living with several disabilities, finding ways to form positive experiences and connections with my body is central to my art.
As a lgbtqia+ person, with a non-binary spouse, our bodies and relationship are often politicized, and art offers me to opportunity to explore and process those feelings and experiences.
Ceramics
I make ceramics inspired by the feelings in my body when I enter the studio. Creating ceramics is the time I feel the most in-tune and happy in my body.
My work is inspired by the joy I feel in the physical action of creation. It is also inspired by my love of nature and history.
Photography
I love travel to historical places, national and start parks, botanical gardens and wildlife refuges. Taking my camera pushes me physically to explore these places, but also to slow down and appreciate all the details.
My work is inspired by my delight in the discovery and appreciation of those details, big and small.
Alex Taylor
Biography
Alex Taylor (they/them) has been a developer since 2009 and a second photographer with Kristin Schiff since 2021. They started their latest game development project in 2025.
As a member of the lgbtq community, Alex Taylor’s latest game will follow a hero, after a visit from outsiders in their town, having a dream calling them to action. The hero will also be exploring a potential non-binary identity.
