A group exhibition of 16 artists at the Millis Public Library highlighting the work and accomplishments of Hopkinton Center for the Arts Artists.
I chose “Cardinal in the Cold” for the exhibit because I’m hoping it will ignite in the patrons of the library a wonder and curiosity for nature. Photography is the main reason I go into nature time and time again.
Embrace the bold spirit of winter with this striking portrait of a male Northern Cardinal. Perched on a lichen-covered branch, the bird’s deep scarlet plumage creates a brilliant contrast against the soft, muted tones of the background. This high-detail shot captures the sharp textures of the bark and the bird’s inquisitive gaze, making it a perfect addition for those who appreciate the vibrant beauty of New England wildlife.
